17" RIMS ?????
I have a 2002 Honda Accord V-6 with 15" rims. The tires look like balloons with the big 65 tread.
Question: Someone at work is selling their rims/tires and I want to know if they'll fit.
They are currently on a mitsubishi eclipse 5 lug pattern. Tire size 225 ........17.
(not sure about the middle size)
I bought some TL rims and tried them a few months ago (and so re-sold them) and found that they wouldn't work.....but would 225 17" fit?
I've seen Honda OEM rims sold that were 205 and 215 - so will 225 fit or would it rub - and will the 5 lug pattern of a mitsubishi fit a 5 lug pattern Honda?
PLEASE HELP!!!!
My wife had this car and I had a 2000 Concorde. She moved up to a Lexus SUV - and I inherited the Honda.
I love it.....except the rims!!!!!

RE: 17" RIMS ?????
what year and model is that eclipse so we can be sure? i do believe the eclipses5x114 bolt pattern. assuming they are aftermarket wheels you are looking at, you will probably need to find the offset and width stamped on the inside of the wheel or use a ruler/tape measure to ensure the offset and width will work on your handa.

RE: 17" RIMS ?????
225 is the width of the wheel/tire in millimeters. My wheels are 8" wide and I have 205s on them, but I have looked at getting 225s. If the lug pattern fits, the only issue to address next are 1.) what is the offset of the wheel and 2.) what is the rolling diameter of the tires? See if you can borrow one of the wheels and try it on your car and compare them to your current tires in regards to their diameter. If they are somewhat close, you could probably get by until you need new tires.
