Default 17" RS Limited Type-S rims...

I have a set of the Type-S 17" rims on my car. The are fitted with 225's.. The problem I have with them is they rub when I hit bumps... Would a set of 205's be too small for the rims? I don't want my car to ride rough though...

205 vs. 225 is about the rim WIDTH, not the 17" diameter. You never said your rim width.

If you adjust the aspect ratio - say 225/40 or 205/45 - you can maintain about the same sidewall height & similar ride roughness.
