Hi everybody, I've got a 2000 Honda Accord Lx V6 and am switching to either 16 or 17 inch rims. Question I have is that I've heard17 inch rims with a 205/50/17 will throw off the speedometer and is a overall rough ride, is this true? I was looking at tire and wheel package deals off of wheelsnext.com and thats what the 17 inch package comes with. they come with nexen tires-are they crap?

Also, if there is a picture section or any other members that have pics of 98-02 accords with stock ride heighth and 16's or 17's can u please point me in the right direction?

One last ?, what is everybodys opinion on the best looking color rim on a satin silver honda?

 

1) If it is off, its not by much. I run 225/45/17 and its off by like 3%.
2) No they're not crap, just a cheap brand of tire.
3) Make your own decision on color of rims for your ride.

 

Hey, if I were going to put 17's on there I would do a 225/45r17 and that will fit like a glove. The 205's will be a bit skinny on that 17" wheel. I have a 98 Accord LX and love they way mine drives with my 17's. Nexen tires are very, very cheap tires. I run a Yokohama YK520 and love them. I would go to Discount Tire, or DiscountTireDirect.com and they can hook you up with everything you need. That is where I got my stuff and love the service and product that I have.
