Corroded OEM alloy wheels

I'm inclined to take a similar approach. This is the only significant problem we've had with the five Accords we've purchased. I looked at your photo again, and our wheels (on the 2006) were about the same as yours 3 or 4 years ago (when the car was only 4 years old)! I just want to inform the forum that this problem did not just appear on a 7-8 year old car, it happened on a 3-4 year old car. The dealer took pictures years ago and never a response or follow-up.

I've use a grinder with a brass wire cup brush, and the exterior surface has cleaned up fairly well. Over the long term, we'll probably have to take further steps to try to make the wheels look presentable.
