You don't have to believe the science of the issue, but that doesn't doesn't change the fact that 20" wheels are less efficient on your car than 17" wheels, pretty much regardless of which performance category you're trying to measure.
I said the mpg went down.... so stop echoing me. If you dont like big wheels that's fine... but some people do and it doesn't negatively affect the vehicle as much as you put on as it does.II've put wheels on every single car I've ever owned..... over 15 vehicles.. cars, trucks, and suvs..... it's not racing, its street driving. I had 30 series tires on my car on the terrible streets of milwaukee and it just wasn't that big a deal.

Just trying to make sure casual readers of this thread who are not as "experienced" as you don't make the same mistake by thinking 20" wheels will outperform smaller wheels when the reverse is true.

out perform are your words.... and performance is subjective. 99.9% of people modding their cars aren't modding them for racing or performance.... and 99% of those who are modding them for "racing" don't race..... so performance is minimally important in the grand scheme of things.

Ummm, I suppose so, errr, that is until you need to use every ounce of the car's capabilities to avoid an accident; suddenly braking and handling come into play.

I say then that you stick with what you like the car to look like and not listen to any of us other members about your choices..
