Default rims or suspension ????

i'm new to this forum thing and if anyone can help me i would appreciate it. i have a 2000 accord v6 lx model. i just put some 17 inch crosshairs rapped in 225/45 BFG's. the car has about a 1 1/2 - 2 inch gap and my rear tires are rubbing against my side fender when i turn hard or even if i turn into parking lots real slow. should i check my suspension first or get new tires (215/45) but i don't want my speedo and odometer to change too severely. if anyone can help please let me know. thank you.

if you dont have spacers in there already, then that might be the problem.

its the only thing i can think of, cause 17s should fit fine. unless it has been lowered a whole bunch, but then it would hit on the top and not the inside.

Hello Member: and welcome to the HAF..Suggestion is that you go to this size on those rims and this contends that your offset on those rims is between 42-55mm..tire size 215/50R17

That's weird, I just put on 18's (18X7.5 - 5X114.3 - 45 offset) with 225-40-18 tires, and I'm thinking of getting tires a little bigger! Now I've also installed Koni yellow adjustable shocks (ride 'hardness') and Comptech springs (lowered the car about 1 1/2"), and I have had no problems at all. I have the same car as you (coupe), and I was worried about the same thing that's happening to you. One thing to note, when installing the rear shocks/springs we noticed that my car had the ability for camber adjustment. This did not look like something that had been added to the car, it looks like it was manufactured that way. I'll see if I can get pictures.
