Default TPMS Issue

I'm picking up a set of 22" wheels for my 2008 Honda Accord Coupe for a really good price. They are already mounted and balanced. They were going on another Honda Accord Coupe but the guy who bought them didn't have the cash to pick them up so I'm catching a hella deal.

My question is...can I replace the TPMS myself or is this something a wheel and tire shop has to do? Is the sensor in the valve stem or in the tire itself?

I want to get the wheels but I don't want to sacrifice my TPMS since the wheels are already mounted.

I need a little help.

just have the tire people do it, it only cost like 20-30 bucks for th whole car and it will be done right if they do it every time.

I'd love to do that but the tires are already mounted on the wheel. Are the TPMS sensors inside the inflated tire or can I take the car to my local wheel and tire shop and have them mount the tires and wheels to the car and switch the sensors there?

They are inside the inflated tire. Any tire shop should be able to switch them, but they have to pop the bead off the rim & reach inside. Maybe dismount the tire completely. The sensor is #5, like part of the valve stem, but you can't deal with it from outside.
