Default Winter tires for 2010 EX

I just purchased a 2010 Accord EX with 17 inch allow wheels. Can anyone give advice on winter tires? Should I purchase steel rims and tires to use through winter or purchase tires for the existing rims? Which is more economical?

I've always put winter tires on their own rims. More expensive at first, but I think it's better cause you don't have to go dismounting & re-mounting tires twice a year. You can swap over in your own driveway in 1/2-hour.

Besides, I'd want narrower 16" winter tires, like the base-size that comes on a 2010 LX. Wider is better in summer, narrower is better in snow (as long as you get appropriate load-rating).

If anyone is interested...I am putting new rims on my 2010 EX L and these 17" rims will be available for purchase...selling all 4 for 100 dollars. Would prefer local pickup in Jersey but will ship at cost. Rims r brand new...only 300 miles on them.
