it does not matter where you connect your red wire.
in that case, you need to look at software settings, or the pink wire is not the reverse trigger wire.
Later is unlikely, because headunit manufacturer has confirmed that pink is the reverse trigger wire.

The power harness from the head unit has alot of plugs. I was able to put the can bus device on a white male connector. Then on the other end is a 8 pin connector that plugs into the head unit. My volume and channel change works only on the head unit. It doesn't work on the factory radio which I use instead of the new head unit.

Can I ask were can I get the mount for the Unit to stay in place
