Is the lense blacking out or is the actual projector itself?

I think the lens is. It might be the plastic melting or something

they look good, and I might get them

be very careful when wiring these up to make sure that the connections are weather tight. there was a guy on the m3 forum earlier this week whose car went up in flames from a short from angel eyes wiring....

that's kind of scared me away from this kind of stuff.

Mmm...The cut-off from Ebay projectors are not very good. You get balres and blind others. I saw a lot of people buy the ebay halo projector headlight and then replace the projector with TXSor S2000 projector whichare for D2S bulbs. It is a retrofitting. And unprofessional seal of the headlight will cause leaking and fogging.You alsoneed to buy ballasts and make your own relay for it.
Anyway, my point is,don't rush into opening your headlight like i did.....there tons of works....Orz
