Default HID Conversion for 8 Gen

Question to those who have converted their headlights to HID pnp... not the projector conversion...
How is your light pattern on the road, do you have hot spots? And how's the cutt-off... pictures would be nice.

I have an unused HID kit, so when I got my car I popped it in to see, and it was horrible. Terrible hot/dead spots, bad glare...the whole 9 yards.

The good news is that I got a set of OSRAM zXe bulbs for it, and these are easily the best halogen bulbs I've ever used. They are quite bright, and very white. I am very pleased with them.

Thank you for your reply. What kind HID did you have? I was looking at Morimoto's, but they only have regular HID bulbs for my car. They do carry the D2R bulbs, but they need an adapter to work in a 9006 socket.
Another question - the Osram's ... how long do they last? This is relative to the short life of the Silverstars people complain about...

The hids are std. 35w ddm 4600k jobbers. I only just installed the new bulbs so no longevity feedback yet but if I were to guess I'd say they'll be the same as silverstars.
