The dot matrix on the back windshield has little pockets in them. I purchased my 06 with factory tint from honda and they told me that the tint should not peel from window. Im not sure about other places for tint, but Honda did insure me that my tint would not peel and if it does then I can take it back to Honda. My window does have a few little tiny pockets but it does not seem to be giving me any problems.

looks good from the back! i though about black too. i really like it in black but in San Fran it's too windy and sand and dirt blows from the beach. can i still go bak to the dealer to get the factory tint done, even if i pay?

When i received my car it already had the tint. I not sure but it doesnt hurt to check honda if they do it. Also if you do some research around there I'm sure that you can find somebody to do the tint. I also heard tint with 3M is good too. Try looking for someone that does tint with 3M. I totally understand the whole issue with black cars. I think it is everywhere that they just get dirtier then the average car since it is so noticable. I'm from riverside and theres nothing around me except dirt and wind. Its sucks because i was my car practically every 5-7 days. If it goes longer than a week, it looks like crap.

Default thanks ;-)

Thanks sexybeast!! i talked to the dealer and they said that the ones from the dactory come pre-tinted and in my case i would have to order a new back window since they can't o the "burning tint" on it now. at the factory the so-called burn the window and not glue film to it. they do that before they add the dot matrix on there. also the dot matrix is where the antenna and defroster is. that's why they can't burn it now cause it woul mess eerything up. but i will look for 3M so thanks for the advice ;-) take care!!!

Nice, so you got the front tag as well? I dabbled with taking mine off, but I noticed the screw on top looks like it's drilled through the bumper, so I backed off.

Okay i thought i was the only one with a stupid drill hole in a perfectly good front bumper. I still took my plates off from the front and back but since my car is black its kinda hard to see unless you come up close to it. But yeah....ITS STUPID!!!!

i'm new to the forum, but anyways i have a 98 accord...i had my tint installed at a local shop and at first attempt....it didn't stick to well to the dot matrix; however, after they repressed it....it sticks fine....a few small bubbles.....but a very satisfactory job.
