Default New ride, new forum

Hey guys, I've been looking through the forum for a while, there is a lot of good stuff. I just got a 2002 Accord SE from a friend for the cost of a rebuilt transmission ($1200!) and I couldn't be happier. 110K miles and runs great. I love the color (black) but I hate the chrome trim around the windows. I've looked and seen a lot of posts about how to black them out with tape and painting and whatnot. I think I want to paint it but I'm indecisive and was thinking about buying a replacement piece and painting that before i decided to strip the car. That way i could see what the resulting piece looked like and still be able to stick with the chrome if I don't like it. I searched everything I could on this site and on the net except going through the shop manual (which i couldn't find for free) looking for the name of the part so I could buy an extra set, but no luck. Besides going to junkyards, do you have any ideas for finding that part?

Welcome!
Try hondaautomotiveparts dot com
click PARTS
put in the car's information
that trim is probably scattered through different categories
- front door
- rear door
- ??

They're a dealer, so its new parts. Junkyards seem like a better idea to me.
