Hi everyone! I just got my license in canada yay! Am quite young haha,only 17 =P, so yea,this forums seems where i should belond too since i have an Accord EX 96. I find it very good as a old car.

-I would like to paint my hood .... into black or carbonfiber glass finished, doing it myself is possible? Or i better take it to the garage ... Thanks!!

 

its possible to do it yourself but really if you want it looking nice you better have the right tools and technique or jsut take it to a garage. you probably wont get great results from a spray can but i think it can be done. if you have access to an air compressor a paint gun and automotive paint, i think thats the best. i think good result can come out of a spray can if you sand it really smooth then polish with rubbing compound. so if you know what youre doing i think its very possible for you to do it yourself. im sure theres guys on this forum who can help you with that

 

If you have the right spray gun and an air compressure and a good clean garage area with out dust, then I would say go for it. But if you don't have that kind of area and avaiable equipment, then let a pro body shop do it . [sm=americanasmiley.gif]WheelBrokerAng

 

I guess it'll be expensive haha,cause here in canada,all garagist are rip offs. In United States,i know that all equipement and pieces are cheap =P Thats why everyone got they're car tuned up,but here,can't say its rare but,depends. Thanks!
