Default turbo all motor and swap need advise

so im not sure what to do. i want to go with a h22a with a few bolt ons and some internal work with a nice turbo but ive heard from some local h22 tuners that h series dont really like the boost unless they are fully built. my accord now is f22 non vtec but has 130k miles on it and im not really wanting to drop turbo in it with that much mileage already on it. my other alternative is go with a f20b and do a lil internal work then turbo. what kind of ideas and advise can i get here.

F20b is if anything worse for turbo than the H22a and harder to get parts for. It has an even higher compression ratio.

H22a has a 10.6:1 compression ratio, F20B has 11:1 compression ratio while the F22 has 8.8:1 compression ratio.

If you are going to go with a turbo I would suggest sticking with the F22. I would compression test it, and if it comes back with good numbers just boost the one you have now. And maybe build one on the side for when this one blows(if it does)

A F22 boosted will be a lot faster than a stock h22.

well the stock bottom end can handle 6-8psi safetly.

but if your like me, i would build a block that can handle it with no problem.

if your determined for the h22, sleeve the block and then boost it. 6-8psi would be more than adequate.

i want to run a minimum of 8 and max of maybe 12psi and i do want that power. have you heard of some sleeves from darton mid wet sleeves? theres a cp forged piston with darton sleeves kit on ebay for 1099 bucks trust me i want to do the h swap and go boost but i dont want ot waste my time and hard earned cash if it wont hold up

thought about running with h22a with type s pistons eagle rods arp rob bolts with darton sleeves. then skunk2 intake manifold and 68mm throttle body with aem ems with a full turbonetics turbo kit run it at 7 - 12 psi low boost for daily commuting 12psi for the tracks

Type s pistons still wouldnt be great for boost. You would want around a 9:1 compression ratio.

Turbonetics turbos are usually pretty awful.

Also keep in mind you are looking at $600-1000 in machine work. Then $700-1000 to pay someone to assemble it if you don't know how.

what turbo would you recommend? ive been looking at different pistons and i se now that the type s pistons compression is high. i plan on installing most of the kit myself with some help of a friend of mine. maybe go with some je pistons eagle rods then maybe
