I broke off the switch that controls the wipers.. does anyone know if i can get just that switch replaced or do i have to get a whole new steering column?? thanks

 

can usually just replace the switch, what year/model do you have?

 

Definitely not an easy fix, but certainly doable. You must remove the steering wheel to get it off, while being careful with the airbag and clockspring. Sounds harder than it is, you'll probably need some large-sized Torx bits. Just be thankful you don't have to replace the ignition key cylinder, that's a pain.
