I was thinking about upgrading my stock HU to this kenwood. I just want to know if it will fit fine or i need some extra components. Would appreciate the help.

you need the Metra 70-1721 wire harness and a mounting kit. there are several mounting kits, i like the Metra 99-7895 for a flush appearance

that's a nice head unit, you'll be happy. install is a breeze. make sure to properly connect the Metra harness and Kenwood harness - i prefer solder and heat shrink.

spend what you can on front. if you bought both you'd get lower performance (for the same budget).

upgrading the front speakers to a nice component set may be all you need.

Minimum $200 for anything I would put in a friend's car. $500 min for my car.

Browse that site and read the owners manual. You will learn a lot about car audio.
