Yeah guess I'll have to make the best of it then haha

 

I actually use self-piercing sheet metal screws. Tapping screws take too long and just wrap up a bunch of deadener. You can't use a bolt and nut because you can't access the inside once the panel is on. The self-piercing sheet metal screws with a 1/4" hex drive and 1/2" long are perfect for doors, they go right through and hold tight.

as for the inside water lip, you just want a water-shed lip, it can be CCF or deadener, just something to direct water around.

 

Ok thanks, I picked up some sheet metal, self-piercing sheet metal screws, and different sizes of weatherstripping. Ensolite is estimated to deliver by mid-next week, so hopefully I'll complete the speaker install by that weekend!
