09 Accord Want a system but want to keep factory radio
Lol, I think I am officially worse then my wife who changes her.mind every 5 seconds. I am going to purchase an amplifier so that when I upgrade the headunit and subs I will not be stuck with a combo set like that sound ordanance box. So can you guys recommend an amp for 200 bucks (my budget) to power for now one 8 inch kicker solo 150 rms box, plans for the future is to have same amp push 2 of these thanks again , and it can be from any reputable website that you trust for the best p
any mono block amp is ideal for subs but if you upgrade speakers later you would have to run another amp. any amp with a lp filter can run like that. all an amplifier does is amplify a signal and increase power so that a speaker/sub has the power it needs to function.
ok so i called crutchfield and got conflicting or should i say info that just made all this amp matching more confusing.
They told me to get an amp that DID NOT exceed the 150 RMS @ 4ohms. since my single sub was rated for 150RMS
Then they only found one amp that matched and said it still needed a ingnition wire for turn on, nothing in the price range i was looking at had the AUTO TURN ON feature.
So basically i need something that will drive the one sub and allow me to tap from rear speakers for input and have a remote turn on feature without running from back of radio and or ignition system, and fall somewhere in the 200 and preferably below cost. I am so sorry guys, i looked at the soniceletronicx and all the powerbass amps were rated to high for my application

i dont know why crutchfield told you that. i dont have a high opinion of crutchfield in the first place. My thought would be they were trying to sell you something. you can buy a 5k watt amp. it doesnt matter if it is too much power. it has a gain adjustment that turns the power down. if it will run at 500 watts it will run at 150 also. it just has to be set.
when you get it you just set it so that it isnt pushing more than 150 rms.

ok here are my choices from sonicelectonix

I am leaning toward the kicker 08zx400.1 for 169.00
or the dx500.1 for 199.99
tell me what you think

we cant see your comparisons. you will have to link the two products individually.

i would get the 500.1 it has much more adjustment than the 400.1. but not sure why you are going with kicker. they make a good product but are overpriced. that is a good price on kicker but there are other options too. ones i think are just as good.
here is an eclipse that would suit your needs:

and a kenwood. i have heard kenwoods overheat. but you wont be running it at peak so it should be good
