The harness has both male and female plugs to intercept the factory wiring. It will allow the new head unit to get power and also power the speakers.

i am not running a new head unit so could i plug that in then wire my loc to the front outs then run that to my eq?

yea, it won't be a standard installation, but you can use the wire harnesses to give power to the LOC and EQ, and grab the signals for the LOC.

when i plug in the harness is it going to overide the signal from the factory deck to the speakers? replacing the front set is going to be the last phase of the project.

also is the power wire coming off of the harness sufficient or should i run a heavier wire. i have notice that the majority of the cars wiring is very small and i dont want to overload any of the wires.
