Default 2000 Accord Ex fuse 9 blows instantly. help?

Hi all, thanks for taking time to read this. I left the lights on overnight and in the morning the battery was dead of course. I jumped the battery and when I got in the car the radio and power outlet were not working. I checked fuse 9 and sure enough it was blown. Problem is that evert replacement (20 amp) blows instantly upon contact.

Can anyone help me with what jumping the battery could have done to cause this and a potential fix? I read somewhere that it could be the ACC backup relay but everything else in the car works. Fried radio maybe? Thanks!

my aunts 2000 did the same thing. I put a new radio in it for her and it solved the problem. I can tell you one way to check and see if it is the radio itself blowing the fuse.

disconnect the radio. put a new fuse in. if it doesnt blow the fuse plug the radio in if that blows the fuse you need a new radio.

Why didn't I think of that!? I figured it is probably the radio. I'll test it out. Thanks!!

Yep dead radio, thanks again. I want to install the stock head unit from my F150. I have the harness for the accord but I don't know how to get the wiring for the unit itself? Would like to avoid hard wiring, any ideas?

you would need to find a ford radio harness. either at a junk yard or a dealership. wire the one that goes into the factory ford radio into the adapter for the honda and your good.

you will probably need a wire schematic because the colors are not going to match.
