Default 2005 accord lx stereo not playing any sound

i have a 205 accord lx with the basic stereo. well all of a sudden my radio would make a loud pop every once in a while until it recently just went out. i can go through all of my saved stations and turn the volume up and down but no sound is coming out and all speakers are hooked up so what could this be? i have been told that the amp went out. if so how can replace it? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Unless KHA knows what it is I would suggest getting a meter out and start checking.
