2007 SE V6 - aftermarket stereo options
#12
After going back and forth on wether to use a processor And adding ipod controls on the oem deck or using an aftermarket deck, I think I'll go the aftermarket route for sq. is that the general consensus for sq?

yea, aftermarket is best for SQ. then LOC into the AUX to still use the factory deck. just make sure to keep power to the factory.
i run new power wires for aftermarket and new speaker wires as well. i try to not use any factory wiring. i'll tap an ignition wire to run a relay coil for switched power for the HU.

Mounting in a second stereo
I have a 2007 Accord with the 6-disc changer. Do you know where i can find detailed instructions on how to wire in a second radio and still use the steering wheel controls for that second radio? I don't care about using my factory radio except for temperature control.
Thanks!

the PAC-Audio SWI-X is a universal interface for steering wheel controls on select aftermarket head units. the wires needed to intercept are described below as "radio remote switch". just follow the instructions on the SWI-X.
Metra-Online sells the mounting kit and wiring harness required - and they provide how-to instructions.
