2009 Accord CD changer messed up
My kid inserted pannies, dimes in the CD changer...today I took it out opened it...took the everything out and still getting the "Mech Error". I was getting the error for a long time.
Took it out again, and saw the CD slots were messed up...tried to fix it but broke few things.
Can some please answer the following?
1. Please advise After market CD changer / player which is compatible with Accord 2009 ?
2. How about a after market Navi? how would that fit and work?
3. If I do replace existing with after market CD player, how will the control buttons will work?
4. If I buy one from ebay, my existing radio code will work after replacing it? or seller needs to provide ? or I have to get from dealer?
Sorry, I know these are a lot questions...If anyone has replace theirs, please provide the model #.
Help appreciated
Thank you

1. what is your budget and expectations for features? Bluetooth? HD radio? USB? DVD capability? Navi? iPhone or Android?
What trim level to you have? Dual climate controls? Factory Navi?
browse Crutchfield for options that fit, their tech support can help you make further decisions to find what's perfect for you.

2. aftermarket NAVI is an option and will require a few more parts and added cost.
3. by control buttons do you mean steering wheel controls? you can get a steering wheel control (SWC) interface when you buy the new head unit.
4. the radio code is specific to the radio. if you buy a used factory one, make sure it includes the code.
everyone goes a different route with aftermarket, and it doesn't matter what you pick as long as it meets your needs and budget. I recommend sticking with major brands - Alpine, Kenwood, and JVC, are my top 3.
