2013 Accord problems with nav. and blutooth
Let me add another comment on the NAV. I actually tried mine tonight for the first time. Lets not even get into where it wanted to route me (city streets as opposed to the expressway despite that being my preference in the settings). It does not adjust the time remaining. It simply slows down the count. It came on with 24 minute drive time which would be accurate traveling at posted speed limits. In rush hour that needs to increase to 40-45 minutes. The system is obviously not recalculating based on traveling speed. For $2k, it damn well should. My cheap Garmin and even my phone GPS can do that.
We all need to keep hounding Honda. They obviously missed the ball big time with the electronics in these cars. Can Honda imagine a lemon law claim because the GPS cant calculate drive time?

Jaretr is correct. I called the Honda service relations number (800-999-1009) tonight. I explained that I thought the base Accord was a great car but it had a few issues and then I started telling her all the issues I had with the Nav. Systen, Blu-tooth and sound system. I did it in a non-confrontational manor. She then told me that as far as she knew Honda had no reported problems with the new Accord but she would create a customer file number and a Honda rep. would contact me.
If any of us have not called the 800- number and reported our problems we need to. I think they already know but we need to make sure. I have to have a reliable Nav. system for my business and if I have to go back to my Magellan because my $2,000 Honda Nav. can't route me correctly I'm going to be looking for some money back.

Hi Spoolme,
As you can see in my responce above and other responces quite a few of us have gone back to the dealer and I don't think the dealers have been able to help. You need to call the 800- number above and put the pressure on Honda.

I called Honda before taking my car to the dealer which I am planning on doing Thursday. This is what they requested. If they can make the stereo sound good, I can maybe forget about the lack of accuracy from the $2k NAV system. Maybe.
It could be worse you could have a Ford Focus and go up in smoke while you're driving. Seriously, I can't believe that Honda has so many electrical issues in a brand new car. Maybe instead of concentrating on all of these "do dads" they should have built a reliable trouble free car that gets you from point A to point B.
Hi All,
I had to take time to settle down and have an adult bev. before writing this. My customer rep. called this afternoon from Honda of America customer service. She started off by asking me about my Nav. issues and I explained the problems. She told me Honda did not make the Nav. system and Honda was not responsible for its function or performace. She then started to give me the website of the company that made it. I stoped her and explained that I didn't need the website because I purchased the car from Honda and expected Honda to take care of it. The rest of the conversation about the blu-tooth and radio problems went down hill from there. I never said anything about the crappy speakers because at that point it was a minor thing. I never thought Honda would do this to a customer so I'm not sure what to do from here. A friend suggested contacting an attorney to see what my options are but that is the last thing I wanted to do. The only positive thing that came out of this was her suggestion that I set up another visit to the dealer and hopefully they can get with a Honda engineer and do what they can.
I thought that is what I did last week.

Hey Don -
Someone from Honda Customer Service contacted me yesterday as well. My problems are really centered around the audio system (bugs as well as quality of sound). He listened and was very polite. He wanted to make sure I had been to the dealer and that they had documented my issue. I assured him they had. At that point, he said he would create an official record, contact the dealer and I would be contacted if/when a fix was put in place. Whether that happens or not, we shall see. I experienced for the first time the issue where the audio is distorted and static sounding (FM/AM, XM, Pandora, iPod, Aha, all the same) until I shut the car off and turn it back on. I had heard of others having that issue and I finally had it happen to me when I left work yesterday. No rhyme or reason why it happens, it just does. I'll be calling Ron at Honda today to give him that bit of information.
I echo Don - call Honda Customer Service and politely explain issues you are having. The more people that do that, the more likely we'll have a fix.

I take my car to the dealer tomorrow to have them "inspect" my audio system.
