Default JVC reciever installation 2004 Accord

Hey guys. I just purchased the JVC KD-R810 to put in my 2004 accord lx. With it I bought a Metra installation kit(99-7862), a 12 inch antenna extension cable, and a Metra 70-1721 radio wiring harness. My car came with the simple 1 cd player (which will remain in the car).
I easily removed my head unit with the help of a youtube video, and looked around in there to familiarize myself with some of the wiring.
All the new parts will arrive in a couple days, and I was wondering if anyone could lead me to an appropriate instruction manual or video to help me out.
I've never installed one of these before, and have limited wiring experience, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. From my limited understanding, I don't forsee anything too complex... but don't want to screw it up.

Thanks in advance
-Lee

You'll do fine. Take time to properly solder the radio harness with the harness that comes with the radio, then all your wiring installation is easy once you're done.

if you are mounting it in the lower dash you will need a lower dash wiring harness. this will plug into the stock harness and then back into the deck. there will be some wires off of the harness that are not connected to anything match those colors to the colors on the new radio harness and boom you are playing music. that harness that you ordered is not the right one if you want to retain the stock deck.
the harness you need is pictured in this auction. i couldnt locate it by itself. i know crutchfield has them so you could call them and order it.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I ordered an extra harness, as the metra kit comes with a T harness already.

Just be sure to read the instruction manuals for the kits, they will explain wiring details. Solder and heat shrink is the way to go,
