Much to my dismay, I was programming some hotel destinations for a vacation to the Canadian Maritimes. (mostly Nova Scotia) on my 2009 Accord. I discovered that Honda's nav dvd doesn't cover the Canadian Maritime provinces. (My $200 Garmin does). Does anyone know if Honda plans to update the dvd and other than bringing along my Garmin what can I do? Thanks.

 

I would maybe call Honda on this one. You may have to buy the canada DVD, I doubt you just need an update. The DVDs are pretty expensive though, but I think I remember reading you can burn your own. You would just have to find the image on the net somewhere. At least your garmin has the information.

 

I assume you're in the US - you'll need the Canadian DVDs. There isn't room on one DVD for all of the US plus all of Canada, so the US DVD excludes almost all of Canada and the Canadian-specific DVD excludes the southern half of the US. Canadian Honda owners get both DVDs, but US ones don't get the Canadian one because Honda US is too cheap, I suppose.
