"New Guy"
I own a 2010 LX-S Accord Coupe. I would like to install a small powered subwoofer under the passenger seat but I am a novice at car stereo installation. My first Accord was an 1983 Accord DX hatchback. It was a little easier to do installations back then. Can you tell me if I can get the power wire through the fire wall with out taking the dash appart and if I can where the location would be?

good question. i haven't seen the firewall of the 2010. you'll need to remove the lower drivers's side dash panel simply to gain better access. you'll also need to look behind the factory sound attenuating layers to view the firewall. most cars have a location above the gas pedal. if the wire is 8awg you can usually just fit it in along with the factory wiring bundle that comes through the firewall.
there are several small, thin subs designed for under-seat installation. you'll need a line output converter (LOC) with a remote turn-on, or a LOC and a sub/amp combo that has an auto-on feature. PAC-audio and USAspec offer oem integration pieces that simplify wiring with matching harnesses, and give you RCA outputs.
