Satellite radio cuts out intermittently
I have a 2004 Accord EX V6 with factory installed XM satellite radio. When driving to work, the radio cuts out in the same areas every day. I have tried to pinpoint if there is any interference (power lines, tall structures, etc) but cannot find a rhyme or reason for why it cuts out. When it does cut out, there is an audible hissing through the speakers. I would assume that if it is working 90% of the time on the way to work, that it is not the receiver. Any ideas?

Thanks for joining HAF.
If it is in the same spots....it sounds like they are "dead spots" in the sat network? I know that my sat tv has issues every year during the same time period - early fall, the channels are slow to change and the guide takes forever to load. I blame it on the position of the sat in ref to my house at that time of they year.
Anyway, might look around or post in the audio section to see if anyone has more/other ideas.

XM used satellites that were above Mexico in fixed locations.
Sirius used satellites that moved in a figure-8 pattern above the US and Canada.
likely you had a blockage to the south that interrupted service.
