that might be the case but you can always make sure and check the bulb itself

i have a problem with what you said Rice. Let me preface this by saying that im not dissagreeing with you, just that it doesnt make sense to me and maybe you could elaborate a little more. If thebrightest is 3K and its yellow, why does the white look brighter? Or is it that yellow just isnt that intense of a color?
i talked to my friend, and apparently i was mistaken, 3k-6k is all about the same brightness, i just figured that seeing from 12-6k it gets brighter and brighter it would keep getting brighter to 3.

Pyaa: I have the 5000deg. K H1 kit installed in TYC projector housings. The color of the beam is bright as hell white in the middle and from any angle, it looks a bit blueish. It is somwhere between the white and blue stock HID's on luxury cars. The projected beam is almost all white ... and very bright with less wattage!

3000K looks like really bright stock yellow bulbs like some oem hids. i wanted more white/blue so i went with 6000K. yellow light supposedly does travel better in adverse weather but i think regular clear nights and difference in light output between 3000K and 6000K is probably negligable wit the exception of the color. above 6000K you get more color but with so much color you get less light output.

do you say that from experience or from what you've heard somewhere? reason i ask, is because my bulbs were easily removed from under the hood but ive heard the service manual says to remove the bumper.

It may just be my setup, but it is 5000K and is closer to the blue than the yellow. The beam and light, looking head on, are white while the halo around the direct beam apears blue (reflecting off of my brother's white 3.2 CL). While rated at 5000K, according to the chart, I'd have to place it at about 6000K ...... or the chart is off.
