When ever i use my ipod with a fm transmitter, it sounds like attack of the marshans in my radio, its crazy. especially when i turn up the bass it gets real bad. what do you think it can be? id like to get this fixed so i can use my ipod.

It's called interference... The main reason why FM transmitters suck. Even when your not getting interference it still sounds horrible. Does your headunit not have an AUX input?

This is quite a few days late, but I can expand on why the fm transmitter sucks to use. The system that powers that fm transmitter reduces the highs and lows to boost the fm frequency (which is horrible no matter what) and that makes it sound REALLY bad when you turn the bass up. If your head unit doesn't have a factory connection for an ipod (or zune if you swing that way) most, and I mean most, companies make them for their specific decks. Shoot, a lot of new cars have factory ones available, if not standard.
