Default damaged leather

i have been reading the post here about damaged leather and it seems to me the consensus is if you can afford to get the ripped panel replaced you should. well if im not in that position right now, do the leather repair kits work? i have looked online and it seems that people say if it not in a high trafic area its ok and as long as you arent matching a weird color. has anyone had any luck with any of these kits?

Default RE: damaged leather

I have used it on a 03 pathfinder that I used to have and an accord lease before. It's kind of a pain to match the color exactly just keep slowly adding different colors onto a piece of paper and mix until you get the right color just have to be patient It also held for the most part it last over a year in the pathfinder but that was a high flex area.
