09 Engine error codes
I have a 2009 EXL V6 with @40k miles, all service has been maintained. The other day the engine malfunction light came on after a hard swerve to avoid road debrie. We stopped in at O'Reilly to have them check the codes. They pulled up P3400 and P2648 but were uncertain as both codes seemed related. They recommended resetting them by disconnecting the battery. This reset the warning light and seemed to run fine but it came back on after two miles driving. It is over 50 miles to a dealership and concerned about driving it that far. If I find a local shop I would like to have some idea what the problem is before repairs. Has anyone seen both these codes together? Thank you for any responses.

First thing is that disconnecting the battery won't clear the codes. Starting 2003 the Accords have non-volatile memory so it won't clear the codes that are in memory.
I don't have a code list with those, but a quick google says they are related to the cylinder-deactivation system. In particular a rocker-arm oil-control solenoid control circuit. I never had a V6 Honda so I won't claim to know what's up.
I you don't want to go 50 miles to the dealer, try to find a shop that works on a lot of Hondas so they're familiar.
