1990 Honda Accord EXR

Default 1990 Honda Accord EXR

Hey everyone, I just got myself an accord it has 2 problems..one is it cuts out sounds like its sputtering..hell mabey its even out of gas it is awful low but if its not that then what could it be? plugs?. Also the battery light is on what could cause that.

well of the battery light is on then go like autozone or somthing to get ur battery checked...maybe u need to have ur car tuned...

my guess is its ignition timing isnt right..but check the plugs, plug wires and distributor..

I checked the plugs today..seems one of them was loose and let oil up up through the head causing it to screw up the spark..i cleaned it put it back it and fired it up checked it again no oil and no cutting out. I have anthor question..my highbeams dont seem to stay on ill click it in and the light comes on but as soon as i let go it pops out?

you mean when you put ur high beam on?? it doesnt stay there??

I think in 1990 thats a mechanical function within the switch itself?

yes if i hold the switch there it will stay on high beams...but as soon as i let it go it pops out..also my front left wheel gets warm..buddy i bought it off said he thinks its a caliper well there doesnt seem to be any Resistance in the wheel..any suggestions?

Doesnt take much drag to make a bunch of heat. Check for dragging brake caliper.

Clean/grease the caliper slide pins.
Check that the brake pads arent wedged tight in their bracket.

yeah i think you got to replace your switch for the high beam i think its already worn out inside thats y its not holding anymore...as for your brakes, just as Jim said..=P
