My '02 3.0 liter v6 vtec got a P1705 code a month or so ago. So i did some research both here and on the interwebs and found that the contacts get very dirty over time and you need to clean them. So I removed and wet sanded the electrical contacts of the transmission position sensor and it seemed to work fine or at least pass inspection. but now the cel is back on and i took it to autozone again and the guy said it got the same code. what gives I thought it was fixed, the only thing unusual I noticed was if I shift to neutral the indicator on the dash wont light up unless i wiggle the shifter. Do I need a new sensor or a new transmission. I know the 6th gen accords have problems with the transmission but i hope its just the sensor. any ideas?
