2007 Accord LX-MT 2nd Gear notchy?
Hi All,
I bought a 2007 Accord LX, 4cyl with manual transmission last month. It has 52,000 miles on it and is still covered by factory warranty for a little while. I noticed that when shifting into 2nd, and sometimes into 3rd, it does not go into gear smooth as butter and feels like it is hitting something along the way. It goes into gear, but not smooth. For 2nd gear, this happens 60% of the time, for 3rd gear maybe about 20%. My mechanic just inspected it and said he couldn't find anything wrong. He said it rides better than his Mustang, and left it at that.
My question is does anybody else have this issue, and is this normal behavior for this car? I feel like when going from 1st to 2nd at any rpm, that this could happen at anytime. Its a pain in my butt. Should I take it to Honda so they can tell me its normal?

Search for a TSB on this, my memory is very bad but I think there is something about second gear on the new Honda's.......
Tehn, check the owners manual for when the fluid should be changed in the manual trans, also be sure to use the proper fluid if it needs to be changed.
