Default 81 Civic Clutch Issues

So here's a strange issue... I put a clutch, Throw-out bearing and pressure plate in my little 81 civic (yeah i know this is an accord forum...*L*) last year and have hardly driven the car, I adjusted the clutch pedal and it seems to work fine however if I put the car under full throttle and drive like I'm a race car driver in a 75HP car it feels like it's slipping or not engaging fast enough, you can hear the motor revving more than the acceleration until it feels like it's all the way engaged... Any thoughts or ideas or am I just running it to hard? I've adjusted the clutch cable but the problem still seems evident... Thoughts on this? (I'm not going to fix it since I'm selling the car but it's confusing me... All I can come up with is maybe a new clutch cable since mine is so old and feels a bit streched and might be binding on the return but let me know what you think...)

I know from all your posts that everything is correctly done and not half baked. So, the only thing that I think it could be is if you main seal is leaking, maybe just a little. Then again, wouldn't smell that oil burning?
Just a thought

isn't your car old enough to be old enough to be an antique?

ahaha most likely a leak somewhere or weak springs

my fluid levels have always seemed fine, no leaks or anything, it runs better than a lot of cars out there.... No weird smells or anything which is why it's so confusing... I'm also guessing it's a return spring issue of some sort but I don't really feel like tearing into the tranny again *L*

And yes according to NADA anything over 20 years is a "collectors" or "classic" I believe so it is a collectors car *LOL* and in mint condition it books for over $2400.00 high book.... Didn't they sell for that new? Anyway I'm going to try and get $1000.00 for it but I figured I'd see if there were some thoughts out there on what else it may be.... it's just a really weird feeling
