Default 94 Honda accord vtec won't make it past 3000

Won't make it past 3000 rpm revs back & forth & drinks gas like a V8

Not much to go on.....is the CEL on - if so what are the codes, any recent work done........

If its a 94 does it throw codes? pre 96 doesnt have obd2

Simple answer - YES

Don't haold me to all of the below.....I can't speak of "other makes" but for Honda

OBD-II, came on some 95 cars but was a law for all 96. The government wanted a "standard code list" across all makes

OBD-I, was around from ~90 until the government requirement of OBD-II on 96 and newer.

OBD-0, was around in the late 80's....mainly on the FI engines

gotcha. I dont know what threw what type of codes or how to read them. I just new the simple plug and play standardized OBDII came out around 96
