95 accord lx starting, cooling, and oil problems, need some help!!
Hey there I’m new to this forum but I’m looking for some help with my car.
it’s a 1995 Honda accord lx, everything besides what I’ve installed is stock and it’s started to cause some issues. So far I’ve installed a new rad, new water pump, new hoses, new thermostat (twice), aem cold air intake because my stock one cracked and it was cheaper then the oe model (it was on sale), new battery.
My reason for coming here is that last night my car has started overheating again but only while I am idling, my fans are working but it seems to be getting extremely hot when it’s not getting air cooled. I’ve already checked my fans and looked for leaks. So I replaced my thermostat again because that has been the problem before, but it’s still doing the same thing. As for the starting it’s rough, not clunking and clanking but it struggles to catch on it seems. I can tell it’s burning oil aswell from the exhaust but I’m not sure how to go about this one. Can anyone help me with some ideas? Im extremely interested in doing an engine swap and would greatly appreciate some help or references. Thank you

Have you checked you opened your radiator cap to check for the forbidden milkshake? (Check coolant reservoir as well). And I would also to be sure to check the oil. I'm honestly assuming it may be a blown Head Gasket.. One way you can check is to take off the radiator cap and remove all of your spark plugs and plug in one and crank the car to check if there is water/coolant jumping out while cranking, then take out the spark plug and put in the next spark plug, do this for all plugs... Keep in mind the initial crank will usually throw out some water, you are checking for high/constant jumping.
Sorry if that sounded confusing, I am not good at explaining things sometimes haha..
