I've tried everything I can, but that shield will no budge. I can pull it forwards a little, and then let a little. But not enough to get it over the hard part of the sensor. There's just to much stuff around the shield (pipes and what not). Does the picture I posted look like what you see on yours?

ORIGINAL: 98accrd

You can remove the sensor without removing the shield. I use an O2 socket, or clip the wires (if I'm not reusing the sensor) and use a deep socket.
What's on O2 socket? I can't find any socket big enough to get over the other end of the sensor.

- EDIT -
OH, never mind. I found a picture of one. It has a slit down the edge, I'll try and pick one of those up then. Thanks.

Hey Duke,
Is your model the 4 cyl? But to answer your question, the picture is the exact same as mine. Though, tonight i'll take a look at mine and make sure there are only 3 bolts and see if my 02 sensor seems to be the same length. Or check your library/autozone and look in a Haynes manual.

It moves just fine, like I said though, there isn't enough space to remove it.

All is good now though, I got a socket and didn't have to remove the heat shield at all.
