I have a Automatic 96 Accord EX with the SOHC VTEC F22. I was wondering if I need to do any customizing in order to swap the Automatic JDM H22A engine that was made for some accords into my car. Also is it possible? engine is running bad now and I need a new engine. thanks.

 

I am not an h22 guy myself but if you go with an h22a1 from the 92-95 preludes you will need to convert your ecu/computer from your current OBDII to OBDI. they amke a harness for that. also, you need to modify the driver side engine mount or buy the kit from hapsort. also there is some wiring involved including extending the wires. also you need to have someone connect your accords power steering line to the h22's. this is the high pressure line. otherwise use either the f22's axles or the h22's axles. cant mix and match those!

 

you don't have to use hasport mount kit if you don't want. Just buy a prelude driver side motor mount if you don't wanna spend 150bucks on hasport mount.

Not sure what your saying about the axles clutch but you CAN use prelude axles on accords.

 

yeah i meant you cant mix and match axles but im thinking of the manual transmissions. you have to use the half shaft for the driver side axle of choice. ex: h22 driverside axle must be used in conjunction with the h22 halfshaft.
