Just today I replaced the o-ring seals on my distributor. As I was replacing the seal I noticed that the key that goes into the camshaft was a bit loose. I reinstalled the distributor, cracked her up and she started. Let her warm up and drove to the tire shop and as I was leaving the shop the car died on me. Popped the hood and tried to start her back up. She cranks, fuel pump primes and spark plugs are new and occasionally catches but one time she cranked smoke came from the distributor. I have a new one on the way but I just wanted to get another opinion. Did the distributor go out or something adjacent to it ?
