Hi All,
Just trying to see what would be a logical next step here, I have a 99 Honda accord LX and last night was driving it and all of a sudden it made a noise, then all the lights came on and when i pulled over and opened the hood saw the crankshaft pulley sitting up against the wheel wall and all the belts were off. When I got it home I was able to remove the bolt by hand and at the bottom say 1/8 it is completely worn. Also on the pulley, it is also worn to one side and there are tons of metal shavings in the hole.
The pin is still intact but my concern is the worn bolt, if i replace the pulley and the bolt, what will it screw into, even though i can screw it back in, not sure how long it would hold up. next concern is the metal shavings getting into the crankshaft and finally, the car was still running after it came out, so how bad might the engine be. I will add some pics if I can, if they are too big i can try to reduce them, thank you all for any advice. Sorry trying to make them smaller but not having any luck
The Screw another side still another side The pulley one side worn the other side not so much
