Default 99 honda accord ex 2dr dying problem

I have a 99 honda accord ex. about 3months ago it started dying. you can be driving down the road and it will just die but.... it starts right back up you dont have to pull over it just dies and restarts that quick. i was told it was possibly the memory? i love the car but hubby says it has to go unless we can figure out the problem.

Do you have a lot of cr@p hanging from your keychain? Could be a broken electrical half of the ignition switch. Diagnostics are necessary first, but if this is the case, it can be DIY fixed for under $70.

hmmm .... I can't help with the manuals, but there may be directions in the DIY section ... not sure about that one. If you look at the accessory belts, the water pump is the small chubby pulley. I had a V6, so it may be a bit different, but if I remember correctly, it was about 2" diameter by about an inch thick.

So was the problem the keychain? Where did the water pump thing come from?
