Default Another A/C question

The car: 2008 Accord EX 4-cyl.

The "Auto" feature of the A/C system seems to work only when I set the temperature all the way down, to "Lo". If I set the temperature say, two notches above "Lo", the fan stays put in one speed. Also, if I go under the sun and then drive through a tunnel, etc., the fan won't vary its intensity.

We also have an '03 Ody, and if its in direct sunlight or under some shadow, or even driving under the clouds, the fan will vary its speed accordingly.

Is the Accord's A/C system working the way it should?

My advice: take it to the dealer, it's still under warranty. On our '04 Acura MDX the Auto feature only regulates the fan speed in order to get the car to that temperature as quick as possible, like turning the A/C all the way cold when it's blistering hot outside...

Just take it in an complain, if need be, drive a floor model around with the same A/C controls to prove that it isn't working correctly.

I hadn't thought of driving say, the demo car and see how the system works. I paid a little more attention, and this system also seems to regulate the speed of the fan. I'm used to my wife's Ody, though, which has a lower low temp and a lower high temp than this Accord.

That's just what we say around here! The 08s haven't been around long enough for most of us to know anything about them... so if you have an issue that should be covered under warranty, we say take it in! But if you want help voiding your warranty we can certainly help
