i was looking at this AEM cam gear for my car and it said "Increase horsepower and torque without any cam changes"
is this true?
has anyone tried it?
because if i can add power just by bolting on this cam gear without any tuning, then i am willing to buy it

On a heavily modified engine it probably will.... the only gains you'd get from it would be weight reduction, so some gains yes but minimal.

 

the way i see it, like putting a lighter fly wheel on the car( not nearly as good though ) you reduce the amount of power that the enging has to use to spin the thing, thus giving you more poneys to play with.

i say to go for it, and atleast you cam say that you have it, and if you modify the engine you wouldnt have to buy it later

The only way it will make a difference is if the adjustable cam gear is lighter then the stock cam gear but even then it wont be amazing gains
