Camshaft broke

Default Camshaft broke

This is my son's car. 1996 Accord. The camshaft broke. Easy to fox but I don't have any Honda experience. Anybody have any input on why it broke. I don't wanna fix it and it just happen again. Thanks.

I don't really have any good ideas about why it broke. But be aware that it's an interference engine; presuming this happened while it was running, the valves are probably bent.
