Ken, I understand a lot are stuck in the "change my oil every 3,000 miles or else" mentality. In reality, you're most likely dumping perfectly good oil andadding to the globe's recycling woes. Why are you uncomfortable following the OLM and using it for guidance?

Plan B: get your oil sampled for $20 and put your fears to rest.

If you're going to follow a change at every 3,000 mile routine, there's no measurable benefit in using an ultra-premium oil.

Highway travel is the easiest on an oil. To maintain your factory warranty, follow the OLM, use an API 5W20 oil and chnage every 5 - 6,000 miles. You'll enjoy many miles of trouble-free driving. Enjoy.

I use Mobil-1 and that didn't void my warranty! Where did you hear that from?
