Default CKP Sensor

i recently did the obd II code reader test on my car and it was throwing out the code P0335 which was Crank Shaft Position Sensor Malfunction, is it necessary to replace the whole crankshaft position sensor? or is it just a wiring problem. I recently changed out my timing belt, and now the car won't rev past 3000rpm. The belt snapped but there seems to be no problem with the compression and no bent valves. thanks in advance for the advice.

do you guys know how much a CKP sensor goes for(h22a4)??

This recently happened to my gfs civic. Don't know if this will help but the mechanic found that there was a short in the wire due to water. Mechanic said some grommet corroded and allowed water in. Maybe there is something wrong with the wiring and not the sensor? I don't know much about wiring so hopefully somebody else will chime in.

Take the timing cover off and check the sensor and its wiring.

Test it with a voltmeter.
