Default engine hesitation HELP

when stepping on the gas real quick, you feel a vibration and it sounds like the engine is under alot of strain then revs up. what could be the problem? also when i step on the gas and release, the idle drops low real fast and returns back to normal?

Check and replace the air filter element, also clean the throttle body. You could also try cleaning the EGR ports.

What car? Year?

Automatic trans 1997 or older? Possible throttle-to-transmission cable adjustment.
